A small cocktail bar under the old bank, with a short seasonal list, natural wine by the glass and a kitchen open until 11. Walk in for the bar, or book a booth.
The bar
A room built for conversation
The Night Heron sits downstairs in the old bank's vault room. Low ceilings, low light and twenty-eight seats.
We keep the music at a level you can talk over and the list short enough to read in one go. If nothing on it suits you, tell the bartender what you like.
Made in-house
Juice pressed each afternoon, syrups and bitters made behind the bar.
No rush
A booth is yours for the evening, not for two hours.
Private hire
Have the bar to yourselves.
On Mondays and Tuesdays the room is yours for birthdays, engagements and work parties, with a bartender and a menu we plan with you.

Look for the blue lamp beside the old bank on Water Street, then head downstairs. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar, 21 and over.
