Services

What we work on

Most calls are one of these six. Not sure which is yours? Describe the noise on the phone and we will tell you.

  • Heating repair

Furnaces and boilers that won't light, short-cycle, blow cold or make a new noise.

  • Cooling repair

Warm air, iced-up lines, or an outdoor unit that hums but won't start.

  • Seasonal tune-up

Burners or coils cleaned, safety checks done and a written report of what we found.

    $129
  • Heat pumps

Repairs and installs, including cold-climate models that keep heating well below freezing.

  • System replacement

Sized with a proper load calculation, not a guess. A written quote with two or three options.

  • Indoor air

Filters, humidifiers and duct sealing for the room that is always too hot or too cold.

Repair prices depend on the part. You get the exact figure before we start, and the $89 diagnostic comes off it if you go ahead.

From your call to a working system

  1. 1

    You call, we listen

Tell us what the system is doing. We book a time that suits you and text when the tech is on the way.

  2. 2

    We find the problem

The tech tests the system and shows you what failed, with photos if it is up in the attic.

  3. 3

    You choose

You get the repair price. A replacement price only comes up if a repair truly doesn't make sense.

  4. 4

We fix it and check it

We make the repair, run a full cycle and check temperatures before we leave.

Before the cold arrives

A full furnace tune-up, $129.

Burner cleaned, heat exchanger inspected, carbon monoxide checked and a written report. Most visits take about an hour.

Questions we hear every week

Should I repair or replace my system?

If it is under about ten years old and the repair is modest, repair it. When replacing is worth a thought, we give you both numbers and you decide.

How often do I need a tune-up?

Once a year per system: the furnace in fall, the AC in spring. A heat pump does both jobs, so once a year in spring.

Which brands do you work on?

All the common ones, old and new. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you how long it will take before you agree to anything.

What if it breaks after hours?

Call the main number. After hours it rings the tech on call, who tells you the after-hours rate before coming out.
