Groom day
How a visit goes
- 1
Drop off
Between 8 and 10am. A quick chat about the cut you want, any sore spots, and how your dog feels about the dryer.
- 2
Bath and dry
Warm water, a shampoo picked for their coat and skin, and a quiet dryer for nervous dogs.
- 3
The haircut
Scissors and clippers, done slowly. We stop for breaks whenever a dog needs one.
- 4
Pick up
We text you when they are ready, usually two to three hours later. No waiting all afternoon in a crate.
Good questions
- Do you need my dog's vaccination records?
- Yes. We ask for proof of rabies, distemper and bordetella before the first visit. Email a copy or bring it along.
- My dog is nervous. Can you help?
- Usually, yes. We book nervous dogs at quiet times, go slowly, and can split a groom into two short visits.
- What if my dog is matted?
- We always try to save the coat, but if mats are tight to the skin a short clip is kinder. We call you before we decide.
- Do you groom cats?
- Not right now. We are dogs only, which keeps the salon calmer for everyone.
