Physical therapy on Harbor Avenue

Move better. Hurt less.

One-to-one physical therapy for back and neck pain, sports injuries and recovery after surgery. Your first visit is a full hour with your therapist, and you leave with a plan you understand.

Assisted leg movement in a rehabilitation studio

What we treat

Pain, injury and recovery

Back and neck pain

From a stiff desk neck to sciatica. We find what is driving it and treat that, not just the sore spot.

Sports and running injuries

Sprains, tendon pain and shin splints, with a staged plan back to training and race day.

Recovery after surgery

Knee, hip and shoulder rehab that follows your surgeon's protocol, step by step.

Shoulder and arm pain

Rotator cuff problems, tennis elbow and wrist pain from work, lifting or the garden.

Work and car injuries

Clear notes for your employer or claim, and treatment that keeps you working where possible.

Balance and falls

Strength and balance training for steadier walking and more confidence on stairs.

Your first visit

What to expect

  1. 1

    Call or request a time

Tell us what is going on. We check your insurance and find a time that works, often within the week.

  2. 2

    A full-hour assessment

We listen to the whole story, test how you move and explain what we find in plain English.

  3. 3

    Treatment from day one

Hands-on work in the room, plus a few exercises you can do at home in ten minutes a day.

  4. 4

    A plan with an end

We agree on goals and a rough number of visits, then check your progress every few sessions.

How we work

One therapist. The whole hour.

You see the same therapist at every visit, for the full appointment. Nobody hands you off to an aide halfway through, and nobody is juggling three patients at once.

We would rather teach you to look after your own back than keep you coming in. When you no longer need us, we will say so.

01

Plain explanations

You will know what is wrong, why it hurts and what each exercise is for.

02

Short home programs

Three or four exercises you will actually do, not a stapled packet of twenty.

03

Honest timelines

A realistic estimate on day one, revisited as you improve.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?

Often not. Many people can book physical therapy directly, but some insurance plans ask for a referral. We check yours before your first visit.

Do you take insurance?

We work with most major plans and also offer a self-pay rate. Call with your insurance card and we will check your coverage.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothes. Shorts for knee and hip problems, and a tank top for shoulders and necks.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on the problem and your goals. We give you an honest estimate at the first visit and update it as you go.

Request an appointment

Tell us a little about what is going on and the best time to reach you. We call back within one business day.
