Care pathways

Choose a starting point.

The appointment begins with the concern you want to discuss.

A new concern

An initial conversation and assessment to understand the current picture.

A return to activity

Discuss the demands of an activity and the options for a gradual plan.

An ongoing review

Revisit a plan, ask questions and consider the next appropriate step.

Your first visit

What to expect

  1. 1

    Call or request a time

Tell us what is going on. We check your insurance and find a time that works, often within the week.

  2. 2

    A full-hour assessment

We listen to the whole story, test how you move and explain what we find in plain English.

  3. 3

    Treatment from day one

Hands-on work in the room, plus a few exercises you can do at home in ten minutes a day.

  4. 4

    A plan with an end

We agree on goals and a rough number of visits, then check your progress every few sessions.

Your recovery plan

Talk about the whole day.

A concern does not happen in isolation. We discuss the tasks, routines and activities around it, then explain how an assessment may inform the next steps. Your questions and feedback remain part of the plan.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?
Often not. Many people can book physical therapy directly, but some insurance plans ask for a referral. We check yours before your first visit.
Do you take insurance?
We work with most major plans and also offer a self-pay rate. Call with your insurance card and we will check your coverage.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothes. Shorts for knee and hip problems, and a tank top for shoulders and necks.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on the problem and your goals. We give you an honest estimate at the first visit and update it as you go.

Discuss the activity you want to return to.
